Good morning, everyone! It was so nice to spend some time together this weekend.
I haven't done as well as I should have with my goals for December, but I did better than if I hadn't had any goals. This will be a week of celebrations, tonight we will go out for our anniversary, we are having friends over on Thursday night to celebrate the end of the year, and then of course we'll be in Branson this weekend.
My goal this week is just to enjoy the week, reflect on this past year, and begin to think about what I'd like to focus on for next year. I'll get back to working out hard & cleaning up my eating next week, but I am happy to be where I am for the week.
Let's all start doing some race research & throw some suggestions out!
Love you guys.

Check-in
Hello, Bright women.
Just wanted to touch base here to hold myself accountable. I unfortunately did not do as well with my clean eating goal as I had intended last week. Friday night Russ & I went to dinner & I ate chips & salsa. Saturday I ended up babysitting for friends who had a death in their family, and the kids & I made cookies. I ate 3 of them. I exercised 4 out of 5 days, although while babysitting we played on a playground, rolled down a steep hill a lot of times, ran up & down the hill, and played tons, so I was physical! But it doesn't count as a workout.
I did meet my other goals.
So this week, I'll try to stay more focused on my goals & not let myself be tempted by obstacles that may come up.
Love you all!

Kelli's December Goals
Hey hey, it's me, Kelli.
Even though I emailed this the other day, I thought I would also post my goals for December here, so that our stuff is in the same spot.
The goals:
Even though I emailed this the other day, I thought I would also post my goals for December here, so that our stuff is in the same spot.
The goals:
Food:
I want to eat 100% clean between now & Christmas, with 2 exceptions- my work Christmas party & Russ’s work Christmas party, which are December 11th & 18th.
Fitness:
I’m on week 7 of a 16 week workout program, so I want to continue the program through completion. This includes weight lifting 3X a week, and 2 days of cardio circuits
Personal Care:
Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night (an ongoing goal)
Take a long bath at least once a week for relaxation

Year End Resolutions
When I ran cross country in high school I figured out that the best strategy to keep me moving fast was to just think about getting to the next landmark as quickly as I could. I'd start at Jefferson thinking about getting to the green footbridge, then think about getting past Steak and Shake, then to Dayton Street, and so on until I was crossing the green bridge on my way back to Kickapoo.
I think that New Year's resolutions are hard to keep because they span such a large chunk of time. I might be better off making New Month's resolutions instead. So here's my list for December:
1. I will exercise at least 5 times each week, for at least 30 minutes.
2. I won't eat sweets except at social gatherings, and I'll limit my intake there.
3. I'll drink 8 glasses of water and take my vi-tis every day.
